The 20th Space Coast Open was held on 26-28th April at the DoubleTree Hotel Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, 2080 North Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, Florida.
The event was played over 5 rounds of Swiss system and in six sections. The prize fund of $15,000 was based on 200 paid entires, with $10,000 guaranteed. A total of 140 players competed.
The Main section had 32 players. GM Alex Yermolinsky 2519 and Russian IM Nikolai Andrianov 2449 shared the first place with 4,0/5 points each.
GM Lars Bo Hansen 2640 (Denmark), Dalton Perrine 2284, Ernesto Alvarez 2286 and Daniel Gurevich 2268 shared the third place with 3,5 points each.
