The 45th Virginia Open is scheduled to take place on 15-17th March at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott Hotel, 45020 Aviation Dr., Dulles, Virginia.
The playing format is 5-round Swiss and there will be two sections – Open (FIDE-rated) and Amateur (U1900).
Prizes: $3500 Guaranteed
Open Section: 1st-4th Place … $620, 410, 310, 250. Plaque to 1st Place. Top Expert and Class A, $190 each.
Amateur Section: 1st-3rd Places … $420, 210, 160. Plaque to 1st Place. Top Class B, C, D and U1200, $160 each. $100 for Top Unrated. Unrated players must play in the Amateur Section.
