The Tennessee Winter Open Chess Tournament took place on 12-13th January at the Henry Horton State Park Resort in Chapel Hill, Tennessee.
The event was held in four sections: Kings (open to all), Queens U1800, Rooks U1400 and Pawns U1000. A total of 76 players competed.
All sections were completed over five rounds of Swiss system. IM Ronald Burnett won the top Kings section with 4,5/5 points among 13 players.
The prize fund was $2,000.
