The USA women chess team will meet the hosts from Kazakhstan at the start of the Women World Team Chess Championship 2013. IM Anna Zatonskih, IM Irina Krush, WGM Abrahamyan Tatev, WGM Sabina-Francesca Foisor, and WIM Viktorija Ni will play against WGM Guliskhan Nakhbayeva, WGM Dinara Saduakassova, WIM Madina Davletbayeva, WIM Gulmira Dauletova, and WIM Zhansaya Abdumalik.

USA has average ELO rating of 2386 and is 5th seeded after Ukraine, Georgia, Russia, and China. The team of Kazakhstan has average ELO of 2309 and is 9th seeded. The hosts have a balanced team of 2 WGMs and 2 WIMs on the top boards and the prodigy Zhansaya Abdumalik as reserve player.
