The 12th Annual Manhattan Open will be held from August 2-4, 2013, at the New Yorker Hotel, 481 Eighth Ave at 34th St. across from Penn Station, New York, NY.
The event has 5 sections: Open, Under 2300, Under 2000, Under 1700 and Under 1400.
All sections are 5-round Swiss tournaments and have either 3-day (August 2-4) or 2-day (August 3-4) schedules to play in.
The event has a guaranteed $15,000 prize fund.
Open Section: $1400-700-400-200, clear or tiebreak first $100 bonus, top Under 2450/Unr $500-250. FIDE rated.
Under 2300 Section: $1200-600-300-200, top Under 2150/Unr $500-250.
Under 2000 Section: $1200-600-300-200, top Under 1850/Unr $500-250, unrated limit $900.
Under 1700 Section: $1200-600-300-200, top Under 1550 (no unr) $500-250, unrated limit $600.
Under 1400 Section: $500-300-200-100, top Under 1250 (no unr) $200-100, unrated limit $300, trophies to first 3, top Under 1200, Under 1000, Under 800, Unrated.
