The 8th Annual Indianapolis Open was held from August 16-18, 2013, at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport, 2501 S. High School Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana.
The event had 5 sections: Open, Under 2100, Under 1800, Under 1500 and Under 1200. All sections were completed over 5 rounds of Swiss pairings.
Grandmaster Nikola Mitkov emerged clear winner of the Open section with 4,5/5 points.

The event had a $16,000 prize fund, based on 200 entries, with $12,000 minimum guaranteed.
