Hikaru Nakamura – Sergey Karjakin LIVE!

Hikaru Nakamura played two very solid games with black against the World Champion Viswanathan Anand and the top Hungarian Grandmaster Peter Leko. However, with white against Sokolov he went for ambitious plan in the middlegame, and barely survived a lost endgame. Today he has white again, and the US chess player has yet again to show his home preparation.

Against him is Sergey Karjakin, who is now leading Tata Steel with 1/2 point advantage ahead of opposition. Back in 2009, when Tata Steel was called Corus, Sergey Karjakin was the winner of the tournament. He later admitted that swimming in the freezing sea was key to his victory. Today however, it will be very hot on the board and it is interesting to see how the tournament leader will act with the black pieces.
